2.1Installing Flash Builder 4
2.1.1Installing Flash Builder 4
You must install the "Eclipse Plug-in" version of Adobe Flash Builder 4. You can download the latest version by following this link: http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/
During the installation, the system will ask you to give it the path of the version of Eclipse that needs to be updated. You should use the following path :
"<BLUAGE_Install_Path>\BLUAGE\eclipse".
| The folder "<BLUAGE_Install_Path>\BLUAGE\eclipse" must contain a sub-folder named "dropins". If it is not there already, you will have to create it. |
2.1.2Updating a Version of BLU AGE with Flash Builder 4
If you wish to update a version of BLU AGE on a system in which a version of Flash Builder 4 has previously been installed, you should:
- Create a sub-folder called "dropins" within the folder "<BLUAGE_Install_Path>\BLUAGE\eclipse"
- Create a file called "com.adobe.flexbuilder.feature.core.link" within the "dropins" folder. Write the following lines in the new file:
path=<Installation Path for the Flash Builder 4 Plug-in>
For example :
path=D:/Adobe/Adobe Flash Builder 4 Plug-in
To verify that the link has been made, start up BLU AGE, and switch to the Flash perspective.
