2.1BLU AGE® Edition 2009

BLU AGE® is a Built-On Eclipse application generator, which offers an integrated environment for UML ‘Unified Modeling Language’ models' execution and automated transformation into business applications on JAVA and .NET environments.

BLU AGE® instantly transforms UML diagrams - representing business processes, functional specifications and business rules - into a business application.

We think that the essential value of the applications is carried by their UML models in the sense that BLU AGE® allows you to automatically and immediately transform these models into business applications. BLU AGE® claims a model centered approach allowing capitalization on conception and cartography of business processes stored during the application analysis and definition, in order to be independent of ever evolving technical platforms, and thus guarantee the durability of the conceptual models and the description of the global system.

2.2BLU AGE® 'Build' and 'Deliver' Modules

The 'Build' Module focuses on the UML models development.

The 'Deliver' Module allows setting up technical environments for source code generation according to your Enterprise Frameworks standards.

These two modules are integrated in the Eclipse platform, and made available as Eclipse plug-ins, with dedicated perspectives, wizards and views that facilitate viewing UML diagrams, generating workflow templates, generating source code as well as deploying and executing generated code for application testing, following an iterative development process.

Through these two modules, BLU AGE® brings an efficient answer to the issue of applications development, industrializing processes from conception through implementation, according to a flexible architecture that allows automatic generation of the various application software components: business entities, web services, GUIs, integration services with external systems...

2.3BLU AGE® 'Reverse Modeling' Module

In addition to the 'Build' and 'Deliver' transformation modules, BLU AGE® 2009 Edition offers a Reverse Engineering ('Reverse Modeling') module allowing to automatically create UML models from the existing source code of Java and non Java applications in order to facilitate their re-engineering using the 'Build' and 'Deliver' modules.

2.4UML Modeling Tools

The UML models are modified using available modeling market tools such as, Rational, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect... and they are exported into BLU AGE® for transformation, using XMI 'XML Metadata Interchange' or EMF 'Eclipse Modeling Framework'.
