2.12How to use Teamwork

2.12.1Login to the server

To login to a Teamwork server you select "Teamwork->Login" (Ctrl+Shift-L). A dialog box will be displayed (see Figure 1).

You have to enter:

• Your login
• Your password
• The name of the Teamwork server

Click on OK to validate.

2.12.2Logout from the server

To logout from a Teamwork server you choose "Teamwork->Logout" (Ctrl+Shift-T).

2.12.3Create a project

Creating a Teamwork project corresponds to adding an existing project to the Teamwork server. To create a Teamwork project you select "Teamwork->Add Project to Teamwork".

2.12.4Open a project

To open a Teamwork project you use "Teamwork->Open Teamwork Project" (Ctrl+Shift-0). A dialog box is displayed (see Figure 2). Click on Open to open the selected project.

2.12.5Update the project

To update a Teamwork project you select "Teamwork->Update Project" (Ctrl+U).

2.12.6Update lock information

To update the lock information of a Teamwork project you use "Teamwork->Update lock information" (Ctrl+Shift-U).

2.12.7Lock for edit

To lock an element for edit you choose "Lock for edit->Lock for edit" or "Lock for edit->Lock for edit recursively" or "Lock for edit->Lock for edit content" (right click).

2.12.8Unlock

To unlock an element you do "Unlock->Unlock" or "Unlock->Unlock recursively" or "Unlock->Unlock content" (right click).

2.12.9Discards changes

To unlock an element while discarding the changes you select "Unlock->Discards changes" (right click). A dialog box is displayed (see Figure 3). Click on Discard to validate.

2.12.10Commit the project

To commit your changes you use "Teamwork->Commit Project" (Ctrl+K). A dialog box is displayed (see Figure 4).

You have to enter a comment for the commit (Comment tab).To unlock all the locked elements Click on Select All on Locked Elements tab. Click on Commit to validate.

2.12.11Display the project versions

To display the versions of the project, you choose "Teamwork->Open Teamwork Project" (see Figure 2) and click on “Versions” button. A dialog box is displayed (see Figure 5).

2.12.12Tag a version

To tag a version of the project, you have to display the Project Versions (see Figure 5) and click on properties for the version to tag. A dialog box is displayed (see Figure 6).

You have to select the Tags tab and to click on Add. A dialog box is displayed where you define the value on the tag. Click on OK to validate for both dialog boxes.

2.12.13Edit Projects (Teamwork administrator)

To manage a Teamwork project you have to be an administrator of the Teamwork server. You go to "Teamwork->Projects". A dialog box is displayed (see Figure 7).

2.12.14Edit Users (Teamwork administrator)

To manage the users you have to be administrator of the Teamwork server. You select "Teamwork->users". A dialog box is displayed (see Figure 8).
